Sports School "Pardaugava"

In Volvo Sports Centre we have a professional oriented sports school "Pardaugava".
Sports School enrol students in ice hockey and figure skating groups.
"Pardaugava" invites boys and girls to spend leisure time useful, purposeful and healthy in pursuit of Latvian most popular sport - HOCKEY!

1. Sports School enrol born in 1993 and younger students to hockey and figurē skating groups.

2. Hockey school training teams are divided into 11 age groups:
- born in 1993/ 94
- born in 1995/ 96
- born in 1997
- born in 1998
- born in 1999
- born in 2000
- born in 2001
- born in 2002
- born in 2003
- born in 2004
- born in 2005 and younger

3. Figure skating training workout classes are divided into three age groups by birth year and level of preparation, with individual agreement with the coaches.

4. Classes run by experienced and qualified coaches:
Hockey:
- Gints Bikars (sports school director),

- Miks Dzindulis,
- Eriks Miluns,
- Juris Reps,
- Guntars Pals,
- Aleksandrs Jevstifejevs,
- Edzus Karklins,
- Agra Rozkalne (skate training),
- Gundars Gailis (goalkeeper coach)
Figure skating:
- Olga Kovaļova

5. "Pardaugava" participating LJBHL championship five age groups:
- U-18 (1993/94),
- U-16 (1995/96),
- U-14 (1997) -U-14 (1998),
- U-12 (1999/2000) 3 teams: I, II, III,
- U-10 (2001) 2 teams: I, II.

6. The team regularly participates in various international tournaments.

7. Sports School implement Republic of Latvia Education and Science Ministry’s licensed programs in hockey and figure skating.
